The Lecture Series

More than seven million Canadian adults struggle with language and literacy problems every day. These adults were children not so long ago. By working together within the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network, researchers across Canada are discovering evidence-based ways to help children become literate.
In this teleconference lecture series, four of Canada’s leading scholars report on their insights into why children experience literacy challenges and what can be done to reduce them. This lecture series is being hosted by Anne McKeough at the University of Calgary and Linda Phillips at the University of Alberta.
