2002 Announcement

At the Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network, May, 2002, the Highly Qualified Personnel Committee had the pleasure of announcing the winners of the 3rd-Year Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships. Awards of $8000 ($6000 from the Network Administration, $2000 from the Network Employer) were made to each of 11 students from across Canada and across Network Themes. The HQPC thanked the Administrative Centre and the volunteer adjudicators for their invaluable help in launching this first Network training initiative.

The Highly Qualified Personnel Committee's mandate is to encourage training in language and literacy research critical to Canada's productivity, economic growth, public policy and quality of life, and to encourage interdisciplinary research networking.
