Major Research Activities Welcome, my name is Steve Beaulac, I am a French Canadian from northern Ontario. I have currently graduated with a Bachelors degree in electrical engineering and a Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences at the University of Western Ontario. I also have obtained a two year diploma in Computer Engineering Technology from Seneca College in North York Ontario. My main interests are computer networks and architecture.
During the first four years of my education at the University of Western Ontario I was employed at the Instructional Technology Resource Center, where I was on a team that designed an interactive CD-ROM for the Introduction to Physiology course. I have also worked with proffesors in designing online courses for the distance studies department.
As an initiative to bring online email to the University of Western Ontario, I started my own company and designed a web-based email client for UWO. For more details visite encki.
Last year, I was employed by Marc Joanisse, the director of the Computational Modeling Core Facility at the Canada Language and Literacy Research Network. I was incharge of building a 20-node, 40-processor Beowulf parallel computing cluster dedicatied to the research in the computational modeling of language and reading development and disorders.
