Biography: My primary research interests lie in the development and application of advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques to study neurological disorders, particularly of the brain. The main focus of the lab is on the use of MRI for better understanding cerebrovascular disease such as stroke. Our CLLRNet focus is to use diffusion MRI to determine whether underlying biological abnormalities, such as poorly developed white matter tracts in the brain, could be correlated with poor reading ability or various cognitive impairments. We also represent one of two core MRI facilities available to CLLRNet members who wish to use MRI in their research endeavours. |
