Biography:

I am an undergraduate student research assistant at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I am currently working with Dr. Mary Ann Evans on a longitudinal study of the parental contributions to beginning reading (kindergarten - grade 2). For the summer of 2004, I have been granted a Third Year Summer Research Assistantship Scholarship from CLLRNet to continue working with Dr. Evans on a project examining the individual differences in shared book-reading (with 4 and 5 year olds) and how different aspects of the nature of this activity contribute to vocabulary, reading and social development.
