Student Network seeks Network Representatives - Apply by July 1, 2021

The Student Network Executive Committee is looking for representatives from across Canada to play a role in the development of the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network’s Student Network. This is an important endeavour as national representation is vital to the communication and carrying out of initiatives.

Early this month at the Annual Scientific Conference in Victoria, we met with students to discuss our ideas and goals for the upcoming year. We hope to make these ideas – mentorship programs, membership welcome packages, funding information packages, and the purpose of this letter: student representation – a reality, with your help.

Here is what a Student Network Representative will be responsible for:

Distribution (within your region of representation) of information regarding Network initiatives and opportunities for students

Reporting of ideas, questions, and feedback of the students in your region to the SN Executive Committee

Promotion of language and literacy research and development within your community

This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with the Network and to share your vision of what you would like this Network to become. Students are the future of the Network; we hope that you will apply to be an SN representative and offer your suggestions and efforts in the upcoming year.

Please fill out the application form from here and return to Stella (stella@cllrnet.ca) by July 1st, 2003.

Sincerely,

The Student Network Executive Committee

Randy Lynn Newman, Dalhousie, Chair

Stella Ng, UWO, Infrastructure

Matha Ann Roberts, Waterloo, Ongoing Initiatives

Liza Sneyd, Brock, New Initiatives

Rose Vukovic, UBC, Communication

Alice Eriks-Brophy, UT, HQPC Liaison to the SN Executive
