SSHRC letters of intent for their Community-University Research Alliances (CURA) program due Novmember 15
(la version française suit)
The Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada (SSHRC) has relaunched the highly successful Community-University Research Alliances (CURA) program.
Under this unique program, university-based researchers and community organizations work together as equal partners to:
*develop new knowledge and capabilities in key areas,
*sharpen research priorities,
*provide new research training opportunities, and
*enhance the ability of social sciences and humanities research to meet the needs of Canadian communities in the midst of change.
As such the CURA program could provide stakeholder NGOs with an important means to address practical research issues in their area of concern.
The CURA program description, eligibility rules, and application procedures can be found at the following link:

The next application deadline for Letters of Intent is November 15, 2002. The application form and instructions will be posted at www.sshrc.ca.
