Vision Research: We are interested in suitably qualified students wanting to pursue graduate work in vision science at the M.Sc and Ph.D level. Typically candidates will have an undergraduate background that has provided some exposure to vision and related subjects. However, the actual program of study is not critical. Candidates should have demonstrated research potential at the undergraduate level. Strong written and oral communication skills along with basic computing skills are desired.
Research areas include:
§ Development of refractive errors and related functions in infants and children
§ Screening and population studies of preschool children.
§ Applied optical research in the areas of vision screening and instrumentation such as autorefraction and photorefraction.
§ Hyperopia and the dynamic properties of accommodation
