The Student focus area hosts the forum for the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network's Student Network and Executive and provides an online environment for students inside and outside of The Network. Training and educational opportunities, funding announcements, job postings, online student discussion forums, a directory of students and information on The Network's Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) program is contained here.

For further information about the Student focus area, Student Network and Student Network Executive, please contact Katy Pocock, or 519.850.2930.

The language and culture of my heritage is passed on to me orally. it's a different way off learning than how I am taught at school. How do I keep my traditional culture alive while learning to read and being immersed in the majority culture?

Reading is the core of learning and staying in school . improving reading skills with young Aboriginal children can open up the doors to future prospects.
