I joined the CLLRNet team in April of 2008 as the Manager of Technical Services. I am responsible for maintaining the CLLRNet Information Technology infrastructure as well as managing the Software Development Group.

I have been working in the information technology field for over 25 years, first in academic settings (University of Manitoba, The University of Western Ontario) and then in the private sector (Thinkspace Inc., The London Technology Group, Keigan Systems Inc.). Over those years I have consulted on IT infrastructure, developed commercial software, managed various software development groups and projects, constructed computer labs and built online service clusters. I hold a bachelor's of Computer Science degree and a Master's of Science degree (Majoring in Computer Science). I currently champion a peer-to-peer group at Techalliance, and sit on the Fanshawe College Advisory Committee.

The language and culture of my heritage is passed on to me orally. it's a different way of learning than how I am taught at school. How do I keep my traditional culture alive while learning to read and being immersed in the majority culture?

Reading is the core of learning and staying in school. Improving my reading skills will open up the doors to future prospects.
