Biography: His current work focuses on early child development as a lifelong determinant of health and the policy translations needed to fulfill Canada’s National Children's Agenda. To this end, he is carrying out province-wide research mapping children's development at kindergarten age.Dr Hertzman’s research includes investigations into the determinants of health in Central and Eastern Europe and the Philippines, a historical cohort study of health, development and community change among 26,000 sawmill workers and their children, and the development of the BC Linked Health Database. |
