Biography:

Mark has had a keen interest in computers from a young age. He attended The University of Western Ontario in the Computer Science Program, graduating with a B.Sc. in 2000. He joined the CLLRNet team in 2001.



Mark has advanced his professional skills by taking French language courses and by becoming a vice-president of the Campus Communicator Toastmasters Club at The University of Western Ontario. He also regularly attends job-related conferences and is now a Zend Certified Engineer for both PHP4 and PHP5 (ZCE4/5) (dynamic Web site development language). Mark’s duties at CLLRNet consist of software development and research, Web site, network and database administration and design, and technical support for CLLRNet as a whole.

The language and culture of my heritage is passed on to me orally. it's a different way of learning than how I am taught at school. How do I keep my traditional culture alive while learning to read and being immersed in the majority culture?

Reading is the core of learning and staying in school. Improving my reading skills will open up the doors to future prospects.
