Biography: As a researcher and professor in psychoeducation, I am interested in the preschool predictors of later school adaptation. Specifically, I focus on the ways mothers prepare their children in several areas (cognitive, emotional, behavioral) for a successful integration into the school environment. My work includes the study of maternal scaffolding within different contexts, including joint reading, as well as the affective quality of the mother-child relationship. More recently, I have also developed an interest in the quality of teacher-child relationships. |
