Dr. Cunninghamís current research includes an evaluation of the Brief Child and Family Phone Interview and the use of consumer preference modeling strategies to involve parents and professionals in the design of more effective childrenís mental health information transfer strategies. Both of these projects are funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. He is also involved in longitudinal studies funded by the Ontario Mental Health Foundation which focus on the social and psychophysiological correlates of the early anxiety disorders selective mutism and social phobia.

The language and culture of my heritage is passed on to me orally. it's a different way off learning than how I am taught at school. How do I keep my traditional culture alive while learning to read and being immersed in the majority culture?

Reading is the core of learning and staying in school . improving reading skills with young Aboriginal children can open up the doors to future prospects.
