Major Research Activities

Dr. Cleave's recent research has focused on word learning children with specific language impairment (SLI) and Down syndrome (DS). Other areas of work include reading and writing development in children with DS and the vocabulary and morphosyntactic difficulties in children with SLI. She also has a particular interest in treatment efficacy research.
