Major Research Activities

The impact of acoustic properties of voice, beyond that required for intelligibility, on communication. Current focus: the effects of nasal resonance on listeners’ reactions, by identifying the acoustic, nasometric, and aerodynamic correlates of perceived nasality, and its impact on self and social perceptions at home, school, and the workplace.
