Pictures from the Conference.
Feedback from surveys distributed at the conference has been received and compiled. Satisfaction rates were quite good overall. The most highly rated aspects of the event were the Joseph Torgesen presentation (which 84% rated as excellent) and the travel agency service (which 81% rated as excellent). Well over half of the respondents were happy with the meeting room layout (63% rated it as excellent).
Some suggestions for improvement included: having the hotel layout included in the information package; including both university affiliations and departmental affiliations on the name tags; and putting certain sessions, such as Partners and HQPC, which were held on the last day at the beginning of the conference instead. There was also a comment that "special guests" from outside The Network should be asked to participate in more conference events than just their talk. Other participants commented that, as partners, it was difficult at times to understand the research and the jargon.
Positive comments included that the service at the hotel was outstanding and that the organizers did an "awesome job, it was a great conference, great organization and great opportunities."
Since most respondents found out about the conference through their email, that avenue of promotion and information sharing will be followed again, so please continue to watch for details of next year's conference.
We appreciate all the feedback from our delegates and the Conference Planning Committee will incorporate comments and suggestions into the planning of next year's conference.
