The Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network is pleased to announce the appointment of two new administrative staff members: Ann Marie Schenk and Jennifer Starcok.

Ann Marie is our new Executive Assistant. She will be responsible for administrative support to Donald G. Jamieson, PhD, CEO and Scientific Director, and to Dan Sinai, Managing Director. Ann Marie will also be the voice that greets you when you contact The Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network by telephone, as she is also responsible for The Network's reception area. Along with these duties, Ann Marie will handle general questions and put you in contact with the area or person able to help with specific inquiries.

Jennifer has joined The Network staff from EK3 Technologies based in London, Ont. to fill the position of Finance Officer. As Finance Officer, Jennifer is responsible for The Network's financial operation, from planning, budgeting, managing and reporting, as well as dealing with human resources related issues. Jennifer will also be responsible for handling the organization of Network meetings, workshops, the Project Leader's Retreat and the upcoming 2003 Annual Scientific Conference.

"We are very excited about Ann Marie and Jennifer joining the administrative team and look forward to their contributions," says Dan Sinai, Managing Director. "Our new staff members bring valuable experience and skills to The Network. We encourage all researchers and members to contact them when their respective services are needed."
