About

The National Early Literacy Strategy (NSEL) is being developed by a broad coalition of organizations committed to improving literacy outcomes for Canadians.  The Strategy initiative is led by the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network.

What is the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network?

At the Canadian Language and Literacy Research Network, we believe that scientifically-based evidence is fundamental to improving policies and practices that impact the lives of Canadians.  The Network engages Canadian scientists at 37 universities, with more than 100 partner organizations from coast to coast – all committed to improving literacy outcomes for young Canadians.
