Jennifer joined the CLLRNet team in January 2003 as the Finance Officer and Manager, Human Resources. In October 2006, Jennifer assumed the role of Acting Managing Director until April 2007 when she was officially appointed to the position. A member of the Finance & Audit Committee, Jennifer has also been Treasurer of the corporation since 2003. As Managing Director, she is responsible for CLLRNet’s operation, coordinating its financial and reporting functions, and supervising the operations of CLLRNet’s Administrative Centre.

Jennifer’s background includes extensive experience in the realms of finance and human resources within start-up companies and organizations where she learned the importance of taking a hands-on approach to management. Prior to joining CLLRNet, Jennifer worked for EK3 Technologies Inc., a high growth global supplier of multi-media engineered solutions in narrowcasting, and Keigan Systems Inc. (formerly Thinkspace Inc.) a leading developer of mapping and predictive modelling software. Both companies originated at The University of Western Ontario.

The language and culture of my heritage is passed on to me orally. it's a different way of learning than how I am taught at school. How do I keep my traditional culture alive while learning to read and being immersed in the majority culture?

Reading is the core of learning and staying in school. Improving my reading skills will open up the doors to future prospects.
